What is the difference between daily and monthly lenses?

Different lenses are designed for different wearing periods. Every contact lens has time limits. For example, daily contact lenses are to be worn for up to 10-16 days from the day you open them (depending on the brand). Monthly lenses can be worn for up to 30 days from the day you open their prescribed.

Daily lenses – worn once, and discarded after a single day.
Monthly lenses – can be cleaned for up to 30 days with proper cleaning and storage.
Always follow the recommended wear schedule for your lenses.

Are coloured lenses comfortable?

Yes. High-quality coloured lenses are designed to be comfortable, breathable, and suitable for extended wear when used correctly.

Will the colour look natural?

Many lenses are designed to provide natural-looking colour enhancement, while others offer more dramatic effects. Product photos will help you choose the look you prefer.

What's the difference between Diameter and Graphic diameter?

Diameter (DIA) is typically the diameter of the lens itself, meaning the total width of the contact lens. Graphic diameter is the width of the graphic area where the colour, patterns are located.

What's the natural coloured contact lens?

Our suppliers has the first 11.9mm graphic size contact lenses, Spanish and Scandi. These are our best sellers and they have various colours such as Hazel, Gray, Olive, Aqua, Pink contact lenses. If you are looking for the most natural looking contact lenses, they are the best choice. For natural black contact lenses, we recommend Eyelighter Glowy Black. Realistic highlight effect and deep edge line make your eyes look more multi-dimensional.

What's the best coloured contact lens for dark eyes?

If you want a wholly changed eye colour, use Velvet or Smoky. They have a natural blended shade with a soft and calm edge line. So it can turn your dark eyes brighter. Or if you are looking for natural coloured contacts, but you want circle lenses, we recommend ViVi Ring or Cherry Moon. Their flawless circle line makes your eyes clear. The Nella series is also a great option for striking eyes.

How do I check the expiry date and manufacturing date of coloured contacts?

Coloured lenses have their own expiration date and manufacturing date. The supplier also does a quality check before they dispatch. The expiry date is usually printed on the lens packaging (the box itself for monthly lenses and individual daily lenses).

What's the best coloured contact lens for brown eyes?

Prescription Lenses

Do coloured lenses come in prescription?

Yes. Many of our lenses are available in both plano (non-prescription) and prescription options. If a prescription is not currently listed for a specific lens, please contact us and we will check availability with our supplier.

Do prescription lenses cost more?

No. Prescription lenses are supplied at the same price as plano lenses. However, prescription lenses are supplied to order and may require additional processing time.

What prescription information do I need to provide?

Please provide a valid prescription from your optometrist, including the power for each eye. If you are unsure, you are welcome to contact us using the prescription lenses contact form (below our general enquiries form) before placing your order.

How long do prescription lenses take to arrive?

Prescription lenses are typically ordered from our supplier at the end of each month, which helps us keep the price the same as plano lenses. The bulk order takes 7-10 days to reach us. Once they arrive, your order will be dispatched promptly and will have the same delivery time as in-stock items.

Can I return prescription lenses?

Due to hygiene purposes and because prescription lenses are custom ordered, they cannot be returned or exchanged unless the product is faulty or supplied incorrectly.

Are contact lenses safe to wear?

Contact lenses are safe when properly fitted and cared for. It's essential to follow your eye care professional's instructions for insertion, removal, and cleaning. Always wash your hands before handling lenses, use fresh solution daily, and never sleep in lenses. Regular eye exams ensure your prescription and lens fit remain optimal.

When should I order prescription lenses?

We recommend you place your order once you have a valid prescription from your optometrist. Prescription lenses are supplied to order, so we recommend ordering in advance to allow sufficient time for processing and delivery.

To keep costs down for our clients, prescription lenses are typically ordered from our supplier at the end of each month at no additional cost. If you require lenses sooner, please contact us with your prescription and your top three preferred lens styles, and we will do our best to assist.

If you need your lenses by a specific date, please reach out to us so we can help avoid any delays. All prescription lenses are subject to supplier availability.

How long do contact lenses last?

The lifespan of contact lenses depends on the type. Daily disposable lenses are discarded after each use, monthly lenses are replaced every 30 days, and 3 month lenses can be worn for up to 90 days with proper care. Always follow your eye care professional's recommendations for the best results and eye health.

Can I wear coloured lenses if I normally wear glasses?

Yes. Many customers wear coloured contact lenses for the first time without any problems. However, if you have never worn contact lenses before, we recommend that you first consult your optometrist for guidance on proper lens handling and care.

It may take a little practice to insert and remove contact lenses comfortably. Always wash and dry your hands before handling lenses and follow the recommended wear and care instructions.

If you experience persistent discomfort, redness, or irritation, remove the lenses and consult your optometrist.

How do I know my prescription?

Your prescription can be obtained from your optometrist or eye care professional during a routine eye exam.

Can I use my old prescription?

Prescriptions typically expire after 1-2 years. It's always a good idea to ensure the lens fit and comfort. We require a prescription within the last 12 months from your chosen optometrist.

What are the prescriptions available for contact lenses?

Most of our contact lenses are available in prescription powers ranging from -0.25 to -7.00. Daily and monthly lenses are typically available in 0.25 increments (for example: -1.75, -2.00, -2.25).

Some cosplay lenses are available in 0.50 increments instead (for example: -1.50, -2.00, -2.50).

Safety & Care

Are coloured contact lenses safe?

Yes, when sourced from reputable manufacturers and worn according to proper contact lens hygiene and care guidelines.

How do I take care of my lenses?

Always clean and store your lenses in a proper contact lens solution, using your hands before handling lenses, and follow the recommended replacement schedule.

Can I sleep while wearing my lenses?

No. Unless specifically labeled as extended-wear lenses, contact lenses should be removed before sleeping.

How long can I wear my lenses during the day?

We highly recommend our customers to wear lenses for a maximum of 8 hours a day in general. However, if you feel any discomfort, dryness, or irritation, remove your lenses immediately. If you have sensitive eyes or are new to wearing contact lenses, start with shorter periods of wear and gradually increase the duration. Always remove your lenses when you feel dry and uncomfortable to prevent dryness and irritation.

Should I wear the contact lens before make up?

Yes. It is generally recommended to insert your contact lenses before applying makeup and remove them before removing your makeup. This helps prevent makeup particles from transferring onto the lenses during insertion.

When removing makeup, always take out your lenses first to avoid getting makeup remover or cleansing products on the lenses, which could cause irritation.

Can I use my glasses prescription when I buy contact lenses?

It is not recommended wearing lenses in open packaging. This recommended wearing duration is based on the manufacturer's guidelines for safe lens use.

Do you ship anywhere in South Africa?

Yes. We ship nationwide across South Africa. Delivery times and shipping options will be explained at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary depending on location, but most orders arrive within 2-5 business days after dispatch. Cape Town clients may request expedited delivery for in-stock items by emailing us after placing an order.

Will I receive tracking for my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your delivery.

Do you offer international shipping?

At the moment, we focus on serving clients within South Africa.

Returns & Support

Can I return contact lenses?

Due to health and hygiene reasons, contact lenses cannot be returned. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us and we will assist you.

What if I ordered the wrong prescription?

Contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been shipped, we may be able to update the prescription before dispatch. However, there will be a delay in the shipping if the return is already dispatched.
