Lens Safety & Eye Care

At K-LENS, your eye health and comfort are important to us. Contact lenses are safe and enjoyable to wear when used correctly and cared for properly. Please read the following guidelines to ensure the best possible experience with your lenses.

Consult an Eye Care Professional

If you require vision correction, we recommend obtaining a valid and up-to-date prescription from a qualified optometrist or eye care professional before purchasing or wearing contact lenses.

If you are new to contact lenses, an optometrist can also guide you on proper lens fitting, insertion, removal, and care.

Follow Proper Hygiene

Always follow good hygiene practices when handling contact lenses:

  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before touching your lenses.
  • Always use fresh contact lens solution when cleaning or storing lenses.
  • Never use tap water, saliva, or any non-approved solution to clean your lenses.
  • Clean and replace your lens case regularly.

Proper hygiene helps prevent irritation and reduces the risk of eye infections.

Follow Recommended Wear Times

Different lenses are designed for different wear schedules.

  • Daily lenses should be worn once and discarded after use.
  • Monthly lenses should be replaced according to the recommended schedule.

Do not wear lenses for longer than the recommended period.

Remove Lenses Before Sleeping

Unless specifically advised by an eye care professional, contact lenses should not be worn while sleeping.

Sleeping in lenses may reduce oxygen to the eyes and increase the risk of discomfort or infection.

Discontinue Use if Irritation Occurs

If you experience any of the following symptoms, remove your lenses immediately:

  • redness
  • irritation
  • pain or discomfort
  • excessive tearing
  • blurred vision

If symptoms persist, consult an optometrist or medical professional before wearing lenses again.

Prescription Accuracy

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the prescription information entered when ordering lenses is accurate and up to date.

If you are unsure about your prescription, please consult your optometrist before placing an order.

Cosmetic Lenses

Some lenses are purchased purely for cosmetic purposes (non-prescription). Even cosmetic lenses should be treated as medical-grade contact lenses and handled with the same care and hygiene practices as prescription lenses.

Product Responsibility

K-LENS provides lenses sourced from established manufacturers designed for safe use when worn according to proper guidelines. However, improper use, poor hygiene, or ignoring recommended wear schedules may increase the risk of eye irritation or infection.

By purchasing and using contact lenses, customers agree to follow safe handling and care instructions.
